American Bar Association's 40th Annual White Collar Crime Institute

Morvillo Abramowitz partner Jonathan S. Sack will moderate a panel entitled “Accounting in Fraud Cases” at the 40th Annual White Collar Crime Institute. Jonathan and his co-panelists will address the use of accounting experts in all phases of criminal investigation and litigation by both the prosecution and the defense. Among the topics to be considered are the goals and limits of accounting expertise, the structuring of the engagement to protect privilege and enhance expert testimony, the use of consulting and testifying experts, reliance on experts in presentations to government 13 authorities, evidentiary issues that arise in introducing expert testimony, cross-examination pitfalls with accounting experts.
