On Friday, February 4, 2022, partner Karen R. King will participate in an online panel entitled, “Addressing Domestic Violence 2022: The Hague Convention on International Child Abduction and Its Intersection with Child Custody Law,” hosted by the Practicing Law Institute. The program will explore the challenges of representing domestic violence survivors in Hague Convention cases and will discuss defenses to the application of the Hague Convention for survivor respondents as well as ethical considerations that can arise in these cases. The program also will review the interplay between Hague cases and child custody law.
