Committee on White Collar Criminal Litigation Meeting

On Wednesday, February 13, 2013 Morvillo Abramowitz Partner Jonathan Sack, joined by Jim Brochin of Paul Weiss, was a featured guest speaker at a meeting of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on White Collar Criminal Litigation. Mr. Sack and Mr. Brochin discussed recent DOJ actions against pharmaceutical companies for off-label promotion of prescription drugs. They also focused on the Second Circuit's landmark ruling in United States v. Caronia, which held that truthful and non-misleading off-label promotion is not a crime, and the implications of Caronia for attorneys representing pharmaceutical companies and individuals in government investigations.
