Speaker:
On Tuesday, October 2, 2012 Morvillo Abramowitz Partner Jodi Misher Peikin served as a faculty member of "White Collar Crime 2012: Prosecutors and Regulators Speak," a CLE program sponsored by the Practicing Law Institute. The program focused on recent developments in the regulatory environment of white collar crime, including the changing enforcement priorities of the SEC and CFTC, the ongoing implementation of new statutes like Dodd-Frank and the STOCK Act, and the continuing expansion of cross border investigations—often in areas other than the FCPA. Ms. Peikin moderated a panel entitled "Securities Enforcement—Developments and Trends," which covered investigative techniques being used by prosecutors and civil enforcement authorities to develop securities and commodities cases and recent legal developments that have impacted the coordination of criminal and civil regulatory investigations.
