On Wednesday, April 18, 2012 Morvillo Abramowitz Partner Elkan Abramowitz participated in, "New Proposals to Regulate Brady Disclosure," a panel discussion sponsored by the Committee on Criminal Justice Operations and by the Committee on Criminal Courts of the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Abramowitz was joined by Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., District Attorney of New York County, Anthony J. Girese, Counsel to Bronx District Attorney Robert T. Johnson, Claudia Truff, Director, Justice First, Center for Appellate Litigation, and Alafair S. Burke, Professor of Law, Maurice A. Deane School of Law, Hofstra University, who also served as Moderator. The program addressed proposals that seek to formalize the procedures by which parties approach Brady disclosure.
