Pippa Hyde

Pippa Hyde has over a decade of experience representing clients in high-stakes criminal, civil, and regulatory matters. Her practice focuses on multi-agency and cross-border investigations, representing individuals and companies facing allegations of insider trading, bribery and corruption, BSA/AML and sanctions violations. She also advises clients on regulatory and enforcement issues involving cryptocurrency.

Pippa handles cases brought by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the Office of Foreign Assets and Control (OFAC), the UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). She has also conducted numerous internal investigations and advises clients on related issues of employee misconduct, self-reporting, crisis management, remediation, compliance and training initiatives.

Qualified in both the United States and the United Kingdom, Pippa is proficient in assisting non-U.S. companies, multinational companies and non-nationals in navigating the U.S justice system. Notably, she represented a senior executive of a public company in an FCPA prosecution and the related investigation by the UK’s Serious Fraud Office. On matters like these, Pippa brings a deep understanding of differing legal systems and how to manage the interests of multiple agencies.  Pippa is based in London and focuses particularly on matters with cross-border elements and clients with international interests.

Prior to joining Morvillo Abramowitz, Pippa spent seven years in the Government Enforcement and White Collar Crime team at an international law firm at both its New York and London offices.  Pippa also trained as a solicitor of England and Wales and worked at a Magic Circle firm for over four years.

Pippa is an active member of the Women in White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA).

Pippa attended Columbia University School of Law where she was named a James Kent Scholar and was a recipient of the Parker Certificate in Foreign and Comparative Law. She earned her B.A. in History with first class honors from Durham University.
