On September 8, 2015, Morvillo Abramowitz partner Elkan Abramowitz was quoted in a Law360 article, “Dewey Defense To Rest Without Calling Execs To Stand.” On the discussion of how the charges will be read to jurors, Elkan as well as the attorneys for former Executive Director Stephen DiCarmine and Chief Financial Officer Joel Sanders, announced their intent to rest next week without calling any witnesses to the stand. Elkan told Law360 that his team “felt no need to call any witnesses since they were able to develop a defense entirely through the witnesses put forth by the government.”
