NYCLA / Manhattan District Attorney's Office Informational Series For Small Business Owners
09.17.13
Morvillo Abramowitz Counsel and New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) President Barbara Moses is quoted in "Events Aim to Educate Asian-American Business Owners" (New York Law Journal, September 17, 2013). The New York County Lawyers' Association has joined with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office to host a five-part informational series on compliance to assist small business owners - particularly those from foreign countries - from inadvertently running afoul of state and local laws and regulations. "The goal is to assist small-business owners, including many immigrant business owners, in understanding and complying with the most relevant laws that tend to get small businesses in trouble: tax, labor, licensing, " notes Ms. Moses. The events will be held on successive Tuesdays, beginning on September 17, 2013. For additional information on these events, please go to http://nycla.org/.
